7th Street Burger is hiring both Part-Time and Full-Time Cooks in New York. You will smash, flip, and grill burgers to maintain peak quality and keep tickets moving during rush hours. If you take pride in your craft, work clean, and thrive under pressure, you belong on our line.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
• Food Handler certification preferred; we’ll help you get certified.
• Able to stand for 8+ hours on your feet.
• Team-focused mindset; remains calm under pressure.
• Flexible availability for late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate grill, fryer, and prep stations.
• Ensure fast, accurate order completion without compromising quality.
• Maintain a clean station and follow health standards.
• Clean the kitchen daily and assist on deep-clean days.
• Coordinate with cashiers and teammates to keep orders accurate.

What started as a single East Village shop has grown into 30+ locations across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Boston, and DC, with plans to scale throughout the Northeast. Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

About The Role

At 7th Street Burger, our Part-Time & Full-Time Cooks are the heart of the shop. You smash, flip, and grill the burgers New York lines up for, keeping quality high and tickets moving even at full volume. If you take pride in your craft, work clean, and thrive in the rush, we want you on the line.

What You'll Do

• Work the grill, fryer, and prep stations
• Get orders out fast without sacrificing quality
• Maintain a clean station and follow Department of Health standards
• Clean the kitchen daily and assist on deep cleaning days
• Communicate with cashiers and teammates to keep orders accurate

What You'll Bring

• Previous cooking experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
• Food handler certification strongly preferred (we will help you get certified)
• Ability to work 8+ hour shifts on your feet
• A team-first mindset and calm under pressure
• Flexible availability for late nights (3:00am), weekends, and holidays

Nuestros Cocineros a Tiempo Parcial y a Tiempo Completopreparan las hamburguesas por las que Nueva York hace fila, manteniendo la calidad alta y las órdenes saliendo rápido, incluso en las horas más ocupadas. Si te enorgullece tu trabajo, mantienes tu estación limpia y rindes bajo presión, te queremos en la línea.

Lo Que Harás

• Trabajar en las estaciones de plancha, freidora y preparación
• Sacar las órdenes rápido sin sacrificar la calidad
• Mantener tu estación limpia y cumplir con las normas del Departamento de Salud
• Limpiar la cocina todos los días y ayudar en los días de limpieza profunda
• Comunicarte con los cajeros y el equipo para que las órdenes salgan correctas

Lo Que Aportarás

• Experiencia previa como cocinero en una cocina de alto volumen y ritmo rápido
• Certificación de manejo de alimentos (Food Handler) de preferencia; te ayudamos a obtenerla
• Capacidad para trabajar turnos de 8+ horas de pie
• Mentalidad de equipo y calma bajo presión
• Disponibilidad flexible para turnos nocturnos (la mayoría de las tiendas cierran a las 3:00am), fines de semana y días festivos
• ¡Hablar inglés es un PLUS!
