Job summary

Cassia is hiring a Cook for Apple Valley Health Care Center and Apple Valley Villa to join our culinary team. This on-call role offers a chance to prepare meals that nourish residents and be part of a close-knit, supportive kitchen across two Cassia communities in Apple Valley, MN.

You will work with a friendly team, enjoy consistent hours, and have opportunities to grow your culinary skills while crossing between both buildings.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of commercial cooking/ food preparation experience required.
• Must be able to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
• Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
• Observe and report on resident change of condition or changes in ability.
• Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.
• Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Apple Valley Health Care Center and Apple Valley Villa, 2 Cassia communities, is hiring a Cook to join the culinary team! In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to prepare meals that bring comfort and nourishment to our residents. Position Type: On-Call

Wage Range: $20 - $22 / hour depending on experience

Location: Apple Valley Village Health Care Center 14650 Garrett Ave, Apple Valley, MN55124; Apple Valley Villa 14610 Garrett Ave, Apple Valley, MN55124

Cook Responsibilities:

Cook Qualifications:

• Selected candidates are required to pass background checks.
• Must be able to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Ability to stand for length of shift.
• Prior dining/ serving experience a plus!
• Baking experience a plus!
