Job summary

Whitsons is hiring a School Cook to prepare nutritious meals for students in a school setting. The role involves cooking per menus, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and collaborating with staff to serve meals efficiently.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, ServSafe and local food safety certifications, and at least 1 year of culinary experience. Training is provided, and schedule is Monday through Friday during the school day.

• ServSafe certification.
• Local food safety certification, if required in jurisdiction of employment.
• Ability to speak and read English to understand and perform job assignments.
• Must be proficient in recipe procedures and cooking techniques.

• Always present a positive and professional image.

• The work is performed primarily in the kitchen and on the serving line

• Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
