Job summary

Obsolete Site in the United States is seeking a dedicated food service worker to assist in meal preparation and cooking a variety of menu items according to recipes. You will help with inventory, sanitation, and maintaining kitchen equipment.

The role requires at least 6 months of related kitchen experience, the ability to read and follow recipes, and proficient English communication. A physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and pass pre-employment checks is expected.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months of work experience directly related to the duties described above, including use of professional kitchen appliances and equipment.

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of4 hours refresher training annually.
• Must be able to lift 40lbs unassisted and occasionally lift objects weighting over 40lbs with assistance of other workers or lifting devices.
• A physical/medical certification is required.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.

Allowances and Differentials

• This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
• Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
