Summary:

Responsible for leading a team in the kitchen or cafeteria/kiosk, ensuring the completion of daily tasks across all areas of the Nutrition Service Department. This is a working lead position that requires knowledge and skills to meet the age-specific needs of all customers. Excellent people skills and communication skills are essential every day.

Responsibilities:
  • Present a professional image with a cordial and respectful manner.
  • Maintain conservative, appropriate dress and good personal hygiene.
  • Communicate effectively—timely, attentive, respectful, and clear in verbal, written, or body language.
  • Display control and calmness in all situations.
  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality, sharing only necessary information in appropriate settings.
  • Anticipate needs, demonstrate initiative, and strive to exceed expectations; show empathy towards those in need.
  • Seek ways to assist patients, visitors, and the community.
  • Provide superior service by focusing on customers.
  • Be a team player—support colleagues, share talents, and be respectful and helpful.
  • Welcome new department members.
  • Maintain cleanliness, promote safety, and ensure all areas are neat and organized.
  • Take ownership of complaints—listen sincerely, apologize, and resolve or escalate issues appropriately.
