As a Cook Lead, you will oversee food preparation for patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring adherence to safe cooking practices and supervising staff to follow established procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare food for multiple therapeutic diets in compliance with state and federal regulations in a healthcare setting.
  • Cook and serve food according to menu guidelines and dietary requirements, utilizing kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, stoves, steamers, fryers, and grills.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation.
  • Perform cleaning duties to ensure sanitation and cleanliness in cooking and serving areas.
  • Label and store food products, equipment, and machinery according to regulations and facility policies.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
  • Four (4) years of experience in food services, including two (2) years in hospital nutrition.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience.
Required Licensure
  • Food Handler Certification from ServSafe or as mandated by local health codes.
  • Certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already held.
