Job summary

Sierra Winds Senior Living Community in Peoria, AZ is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents and staff, and work with the Food & Beverage Director to deliver traditional and creative options.

We value teamwork, scratch cooking, and strict sanitation; requires a High School Diploma plus 3 years of restaurant cooking. Full-time, day or night shifts; pay $18-$20 per hour. Benefits include health, vision, dental, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus.
• At least 3 years of restaurant cooking experience.
• Scratch cooking is a must.
• Food Handler Card with understanding of kitchen sanitation and codes.
• Ability to read and execute a recipe.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all foods and maintain sanitary work habits.
• Set up and break down work areas in a timely fashion.
• Keep all stations clean and sanitized.
• Expedite and serve meals in a courteous and timely manner.
• Check and restock foods for proper service.
• Ensure temperatures of foods and plates are correct.
• Aid in all kitchen operations as needed.

You will be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious, appealing, and delicious meals for our residents, team members, prospective residents, families, and guests. Our Cooks work closely with the Food & Beverage Director to create traditional comfort food to unique and exciting culinary options.
