Cook II (Kitchen Staff)
Montage International seeks a passionate Cook II to collaborate with associates, mentor junior staff, and uphold our high culinary standards. This role combines culinary skill with guest service, teamwork, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with associates to meet production goals and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Mentor Cook III and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Skillfully prepare hot and cold foods that meet our hotel’s high standards.
- Maintain in‑depth knowledge of food products, sanitation standards, and culinary techniques to execute dishes at the highest level.
- Fulfill guest orders in a timely manner with skillful attention to detail.
- Work in a collaborative environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Regularly restock kitchen supplies and food items and keep the work area clean.
- Deliver on guests’ expectations and strive to create WOW moments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside the normal scope of duties based on business needs.
Requirements / Qualifications
- One year minimum of cooking experience in a standalone restaurant or hotel.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment with excellent communication skills.
- Luxury hotel experience is a plus.
- Love creating dishes and storytelling with food.
- Passionate about providing exceptional guest service and creating memorable moments.
- Open to learning, developing, and growing personally and helping others do the same.
- Trustworthy and with integrity.
Compensation
Pay scale for Cook II is $24.00 hourly.

Physical Requirements
- Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over.
- Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods during the scheduled shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi‑regular basis.
- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; staff must be able to work in extreme temperatures such as freezers (–10°F) and kitchens (+110°F).
