Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. invites application for a Cook II position at Salish Lodge & Spa. The role focuses on preparing and presenting menu items, maintaining kitchen standards, and collaborating with team members in a high-end hospitality setting.

The candidate will follow recipes, ensure sanitation, and support opening/closing kitchen duties while upholding quality and guest service expectations.

Qualifications

  • Previous cooking experience required.
  • State Food Handler’s License(s) required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and small group situations to other employees.
  • Must possess knife skills and the ability to adjust preparations for flavor.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize specification sheets to prepare daily preparation requirements, maintain par levels of necessary items.
  • Prepare new menu items under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Ensure attractive and consistent presentation of food items, both buffet and plated.
  • Interact with other line cooks to monitor quality, presentation and consistency of food items prepared.
  • Handle all needs and accommodate customer requests in a timely manner.
  • Set up, restock, maintain and clean food prep areas.
  • Responsible to ensure presentation standards are met for all hot and cold items.
  • Read and interpret recipes.
  • Conduct product inventories, order and receive product under direction of a supervisor.

What Success Looks Like


  • Utilize specification sheets to prepare daily preparation requirements, maintain par levels of necessary items

What You Bring


  • Previous cooking experience required

  • Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s)
