Job summary

Sodexo at the University of Southern Maine, Gorham campus, is seeking a full-time Cook II. You will work with a team to prepare nutritious hot and cold dishes and prioritize friendly customer service.

Duties include following recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events. The ideal candidate is team‑oriented, adaptable, and reliable, with 3–4 years of related food service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of related work experience preferred.
• Able to read and follow basic recipes and directions.
• Strong customer service and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and/or cold foods for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events.
• Read and follow basic recipes and product directions.
• May operate a grill station or serve customers in a la carte settings.
• Support management in daily functions and teams during shifts.
• Be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts.
