Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a full-time cook to prepare and cook food under supervision at St James Hospital in Butte, Montana. The role involves reviewing menus, ensuring quality and consistency for cafeteria, patient meals, and catering, and maintaining HACCP-compliant food handling practices.

You will work 36 hours per week, including weekends, with no late-night shifts. The position requires following recipes, scaling portions, and coordinating with teams to meet dietary needs and meal

• Prepares food for cafeteria, patient food service and catering using creativity, quality, consistency, and promptness.
• Follow and comply with recipe standards.
• Monitors and replenishes food as needed for cafeteria, catering, or patient trays.
• Ensures food is being handled and stored to Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines.
• Operates various types of kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness. Records temperatures of refrigerators. Ensures equipment is in good working condition.
• Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

One (1) year food service experience in a healthcare facility, such as health care food service is preferred Minimum 6 months experience in food preparation, preferably in a healthcare setting is preferred
