Job summary

YAI is seeking a compassionate, part-time Weekend Residential Care Aide for the Riverdale IRA program in Bronx, NY. The role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living activities, meal prep, and community integration.

You will work Saturdays and Sundays, 8am–4pm, at a Bronx facility, providing respectful, inclusive care and ensuring safety. Competitive hourly pay and benefits accompany this community-driven position.

Program (Residential) Riverdale IRA Location Bronx - 281 West 261st St Schedule (Part time, Weekend) Saturday and Sunday; 8am - 4pm

• Emptying trash receptacle/bags
• Other cleaning responsibilities if the need arises

Education and Experience

Work or life experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities is a plus

Compensation

$17.50 hourly

Our Roots YAI was launched in February of 1957 out of a small school in Brooklyn, New York. Initially staffed by Co-Founders Bert MacLeech and Pearl Maze MacLeech alone, their pilot program served just seven people. YAI Today Today, YAI has a team of over 4,000 employees and supports over 20,000 people in the I/DD community. This extraordinary growth shows the ongoing need for these important services, and YAI’s success in offering them. YAI supports people with autism, Down syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy, among others.
