Confidence-Management-Systems is seeking a part-time cook for weekends only at a long-term care nursing facility in Bronx, NY. Shifts are 11am–7pm on alternating weekends and holidays, with healthcare experience preferred.

The role involves preparing meals from standardized recipes, proper portioning, and ensuring safe, attractive, and tasty food while maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. Training and opportunities for advancement are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe certification preferred or will be obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food according to recipes to provide residents with quality meals.
• Portions meals accurately and ensures correct temperature and presentation.
• Maintains kitchen cleanliness and safety procedures for food handling.
• Takes on duties of the Food Service Director in their absence.
• Performs additional related tasks as needed.

NURSING HOME, SENIOR LIVING, HOSPITAL, HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCED PREFERRED! Cook Shifts: 11am-7pm Shift, Alternating Weekends, Holidays. Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is currently recruiting experienced Cook for long term care nursing facility in Bronx, NY.

Cook Key Responsibilities

• Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintain standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food- handling procedures.
• Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.

Cook Key Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.
