Job summary

Arrowhead Behavioral Health is a 48-bed private hospital in Maumee, OH seeking a full-time cook to prepare, cook and serve meals for patients and staff. The role includes cleaning duty stations and dining areas during shifts that run between 5:00 AM and 6:30 PM, with weekends required.

Certifications include Serve Safe (within 60 days of hire). Prior hospital or behavioral health exposure is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED.
• Serve Safe certification is required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; diplomacy and discretion; excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Shifts: Varies; 8-hour shift between 5 am-6:30 pm; must be able to work weekends.
• Physical requirements: stand/walk; lift up to 50 pounds; push/pull carts, brooms and mops.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Previous hospital setting or mental health or substance abuse treatment facility preferred but not required.
• We will train the right person willing to learn!

This position prepares, cooks and serves food to the hospital patients and staff.

Responsible for cleaning the dining room, serving line, and kitchen before leaving at the end of their shift.

Qualifications

Physical requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to push and pull carts, brooms and mops.

Professional demeanor and appearance required.

Previous experience in a hospital setting or mental health or substance abuse treatment facility preferred but not required.
