Job summary

Appletree Court Assisted Living in Richardson, TX is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals in accordance with our menus. You will follow food safety, labeling, and storage procedures and contribute to a welcoming dining experience for residents.

You will review menus, participate in onboarding and training, and help maintain a clean, organized kitchen in support of the Culinary Services team.

Qualifications

• Two years of institutional or full-service restaurant cooking experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.
• Maintain food handlers permit and comply with state regulations.
• Understand food safety procedures, sanitation, and storage techniques.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and Daily Food Production Records for instructions.
• Prepare meals that are nutritious, appetizing, and attractive according to company menus.
• Adhere to procedures for covering, dating, labeling, and storing food promptly.
• Clean kitchen after meals according to schedule (areas, pots, pans, surfaces, walls, floors).
• Attend onboarding and annual training, in-services, and team meetings as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Services Director or Sous Chef.
