• We are hiring immediately for full time and part time COOK positions.
• Address: Via Christi St Teresa - 14800 W. St. Teresa, Wichita, KS 67235 Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time and part time schedules. 1st shift 5:00 am - 1:00 pm, 2nd shift 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Days may vary, must be able to work alternating weekends. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous culinary experience is preferred.
• Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations, following established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery, using correct portioning, meeting standards, ensuring food is at the correct temperature, attractive, and tasty. Tastes all prepared food items.
• Uses established ticket collection procedures during service. Responsible for records from the area worked during service periods.
• Cleans the kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food per safe food-handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized. Ensures food and supply items are stored properly.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.
• Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies as needed.
• Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately to the supervisor.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Performs job safely, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Prioritizes safety for yourself and others.
• Follows all company policies and procedures, including safety measures when handling equipment and hot items.
