Morrison Living is hiring immediately for full‑time and part‑time COOK positions.

Location and Schedule

• Location: Monroe Village – 1 David Brainerd Drive, Monroe Township, NJ 08831.
• Schedule: Full‑time and part‑time; open availability preferred. Hours and days may vary based on interview.

Pay Range

$18.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of prior scratch restaurant cooking experience required.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare high‑quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning, temperature, and presentation standards.
• Taste all prepared food items.
• Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain accurate records.
• Clean kitchen after preparation and service; maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food‑handling procedures.
• Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assist with production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
• Assist with ordering and receiving of all food and supplies.
• Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attend in‑service and safety meetings.
• Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Perform the job safely, maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
• Commit to personal safety and that of others.
• Abide by all company policies and procedures, including:
  • Using medium‑weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins, or cleaning slicers.
  • Using oven mitts, fryer gloves, or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers, or steamtables.
  • Using slip‑resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
