Overview

Morrison Living is hiring immediately for a full time COOK position at Aldersgate Village, 7220 Southwest Asbury Drive, Topeka, KS 66614.

Location: Aldersgate Village, Topeka, KS. Schedule: Full time, Tuesday through Sunday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Further details upon interview. Pay Range: $12.00 per hour to $16.00 per hour. Prior food service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature, attractive and tasty; tastes all prepared items.
• Maintains proper records from the area worked during service and follows established ticket procedures.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains high standards of cleanliness; stores or discards excess food per safe food-handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in ordering and receiving all food and supplies as required.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings; maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
• Performs duties safely in a clean, safe work environment and follows HACCP standards for food safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures.
