Job summary

The Wyndmoor Group is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare meals for residents and guests in our healthcare setting. You will follow menus and recipes, work with the dining team to ensure timely, safe service, and help maintain high standards of nutrition and presentation.

Responsibilities include batch cooking, portion control, record keeping, sanitation, label and store foods, and supporting the Dining Director with kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training and prior food service experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

• Ensure compliance with sanitary and food preparation procedures.
• Record refrigerator and freezer temperatures and take corrective action if needed.
• Clean and monitor kitchen and food preparation equipment.
• Ensure proper food preparation accuracy, timeliness, presentation, and temperatures.
• Assist Dining Director in duties related to kitchen operations.
• Create a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with high-quality nutritional care.
• Maintain and adhere to departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures.

• Ensure proper food preparation accuracy, timeliness, presentation, and temperatures for all food items.
• Assist Dining Director in assigned duties related to kitchen operations.
• Create a clean, comfortable, and safe environment and ensure that the highest quality of nutritional care is delivered.
• Maintain and work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Attend and participate in scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs to maintain and enhance quality of care.
• Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.
