Job summary

Zaxby’s is hiring cooks to join our team for opening and closing shifts. We offer full-time and part-time roles with growth opportunities within the company and a fun, teamwork-driven environment.

As a Cook, you will prepare items to order, uphold food safety standards, and collaborate with a fast-paced kitchen to ensure guests receive a delicious experience. Prior kitchen experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.
• Ability to work 16–40 hours per week.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to work opening and closing shifts.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to Zaxby’s standards.
• Maintain food quality and safety throughout the shift.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (fryers, grills, knives).
• Keep the workspace clean and organized during shifts.
• Assist with front-of-house tasks as needed to support service.
• Assist with inventory, receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries.
