Job summary

Enterhealth is seeking a dependable Cook for 8-hour shifts at our Van Alstyne, Texas ranch campus. You will prepare nutritious meals for patients, staff, and guests, upholding high standards of quality, safety, and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook in restaurant, healthcare, hospitality, or institutional settings preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Dependable with excellent attendance
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• ServSafe Certification preferred (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks according to established menus and recipes
• Ensure meals are prepared with consistency, quality, and presentation
• Accommodate dietary restrictions and special nutritional needs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
• Properly store, label, and rotate food inventory
• Monitor food temperatures and comply with all food safety regulations
• Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
• Work collaboratively with the culinary team to provide an exceptional dining experience
• Support special events and occasional catering needs
• Help create a warm, welcoming dining atmosphere that reflects Enterhealth's commitment to patient care

What You'll Do
