Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks food, bakery products and garnishes for patients, cafeteria and events.
• Follows written and verbal instructions.

• Assorts portions according to therapeutic diets and patient ID card.
• Operates cash register and handles change.
• Washes dishes and maintains clean work area.
• Collects and disposes of garbage properly.
• Records substitutions on substitution log and temperatures on logs.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and co-workers.
• Promotes teamwork and flexibility within the Dietary department.
• Complies with safety, infection control, quality, and HIPAA policies.

Performs dishwashing and housekeeping duties in the Dietary Department, as needed.Job Responsibilities:1. Utilizes kitchen equipment.2. Follows written and verbal instructions.3. Serves food in cafeteria as requested by customers.4. Apportions and places food servings on plates and trays according to therapeutic diets and patient identification card.5. Operates cash register. Collects and gives change to customers.6. Washes dishes, equipment, utensils and cleans work and production area.7. Collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers.8. Records amount and types of special food items served to patients.9. Records all substitutions to menu on substitution log.10. Records temperature log on food and coolers.11.
