Job summary

Maschio's Food Service Inc. in Caldwell West Caldwell, NJ is seeking a school cook for a Monday–Friday day shift from 6:30 am to 12:30 pm, with summers off.

The role involves preparing hot and cold meals, following NSLP menus and recipes, and maintaining safety and hygiene standards in a fast-paced school kitchen. ServSafe certification is a plus, and the candidate must be able to obtain the necessary documentation to work in schools.

Qualifications

• Cooking experience required, K-12 experience a plus.
• Prepare hot and cold meals following menus and NSLP guidelines.
• Adhere to safety and food handling procedures.
• Use of personal protective equipment at all times.
• Stocking, serving and cleaning duties.
• Ability to obtain documentation to work in schools.

Responsibilities

• Cook and assemble meals for students according to menus.
• Follow recipes and NSLP guidelines for portioning.
• Maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Assist with stocking, serving and classroom meal service.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.

Cook needed for school food service in the Caldwell West Caldwell, NJ area. Monday through Friday, day shift, 6:30 am to 12:30 pm. No weekends or holidays, summers off!
