Job summary

Maschio's Food Services, Inc. in the Pompton Lakes/Bloomingdale, NJ area is seeking a school food service cook for a Monday–Friday day shift. The position offers 5–7 hours per day with summers off and no weekends or holidays.

You will prepare hot and cold meals, follow NSLP menus, and maintain safety procedures. A ServSafe certification is a plus and you must be able to obtain proper documentation to work in schools.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for groups in a school setting is preferred.
• Food safety awareness and ability to follow NSLP guidelines.
• Knowledge of school nutrition operations is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold meals for students.
• Follow menus and NSLP guidelines.
• Adhere to safety and food handling procedures.
• Use PPE at all times.
• Stock and rotate ingredients.
• Serve meals to students.
• Operate cash register.
• Clean and sanitize work areas.
