Job summary

Aramark Nexus in Caprock Workforce Community, about 30 minutes east of Pampa, Texas, is hiring experienced cooks to join our culinary team. You will prepare high‑quality meals for residents and work in a fast‑paced kitchen following recipes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets

Aramark Nexus is hiring experienced Cooks to join our Workforce Dining team at the Caprock Workforce Community, located approximately 30 minutes east of Pampa, Texas.

We are looking for individuals with experience as a Cook, Line Cook, Prep Cook, Grill Cook, Restaurant Cook, Cafeteria Cook, Camp Cook, or Food Service Cook who enjoy preparing quality meals, working in a fast-paced kitchen, and being part of a strong culinary team.

As a Cook at Caprock, you will prepare fresh, high-quality meals for residents supporting major energy, infrastructure, and industrial projects in the Texas Panhandle. Our culinary team plays an important role in the guest experience by providing consistent, great-tasting meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment.

Important Work Location Information:

Caprock is not located within the city of Pampa. The facility is approximately 30 minutes east of Pampa, near Mobeetie, Texas. Candidates must have reliable transportation and the ability to commute to the worksite daily. Free on-site room and board is planned for eligible employees in the future but is not currently available for this position.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour
