Job summary

Juniper Communities seeks a seasoned culinary professional for a full-time role in our dining services. The candidate will assist the Executive Chef in preparing meals, reading and following recipes, and delivering excellent customer service to residents and staff.

The position requires the ability to handle 50–60 covers per hour, maintain sanitation standards, and coordinate with dining team for events. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.

  • Knowledge of volume food preparation and equipment operation.

  • Support planning and execution of special events with leadership.
  • Maintain records and complete required paperwork.
  • Follow safety regulations, infection control, and equipment safety.

Seeking a seasoned professional who is comfortable with short-order scratch cooking; skilled in dicing, slicing, and chopping vegetables efficiently; able to read and follow recipes; and committed to cleaning as they work while maintaining the highest sanitation standards. The ideal candidate also has a passion for going above and beyond to deliver customer satisfaction.

Full time shift available (every other weekend and rotating holidays required)

Pay starting at $20 per hour, increased wage offered based on experience

Role:

Assists Executive Chef/Dining Services Director in the preparation of meals and provides excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

Prepare meals for residents, associates, and visitors.

Assist in the coordination of effective communication among dining team and resident assistants.

Work closely with the Connections Director and the Director of Sales and Marketing in the planning and implementation of special events.

Maintain necessary records and complete administrative paperwork as required.

Follow established safety regulations, including fire protection, infection control, and equipment safety.

Requirements:

A High School Diploma and experience in culinary arts or food service.

Must be able to handle 50-60 covers per hour

Must be able to follow written recipes

Must be able follow written and verbal directions

Must be able to understand and execute tickets

Knowledge of volume food preparation.

Knowledge and ability to operate food service equipment.
