You will prepare and present a hot and cold lunch menu, assist with service, and keep the dining area clean. Experience in restaurant kitchens, banquets, or catering is preferred.

Elevation opportunities within the hotel exist. Shifts run 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, with physical tasks including stairs carrying.

Summary

The Role

The IntermediateCook/Cafeteria Attendant is responsible for preparing and maintaining a multi-item, hot and cold lunch menu created by the Executive Chef. This includes prepping, cooking and displaying in the staff dining room, maintaining the cleanliness of the dining room, and breaking down after the lunch period. Previous experience is required; cooking in a restaurant kitchen, banquet or catering experience is preferred. Opportunity to grow into other culinary positions throughout the hotel.

• Set up and clear dining room daily. Dining room is located up a flight of stairs, so the ability to carry things up and down stairs is required.
• Candidates should be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills.
• Keep dining area clean, wipe down tables and counters and refill paper towel dispenser.
• Ensure coffee and soda station is stocked at all times.

Qualifications

• Must be able to repetitively lift, push, pull & carry up to 15 lbs., frequently up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs. This position involves carrying food up and down a flight of stairs.
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat frequently.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that will likely include, weekends, and holidays. All shifts are 6:30 am to 2:30 pm.
