Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will help ensure quality, taste, and presentation while maintaining safety standards and assisting with supplies and inventory.

The position supports residents and staff, with potential for growth and training opportunities; the role emphasizes teamwork and excellent customer service in a caregiving environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook/food prep experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Must lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies compliance.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification per state/county law.
• Residency within the service area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus/recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation to HCSG standards.
• Follow food safety/sanitation guidelines; keep kitchen clean and orderly.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests; provide excellent service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required
