Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to join our team and prepare nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, ensure quality and presentation, and maintain strict food safety practices in a busy kitchen environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior cooking experience. Training, vaccination policy compliance, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required, with residency within the service area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with occupants, administration, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform tasks for extended periods.
• May need to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area is required.

• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required
