Job summary

HHS is hiring a cook to join the hospital kitchen team. Under the guidance of the chef/production manager, you will cook meals and provide food service for patients, visitors, and hospital staff at the DC hospital site. Must pass background checks and be eligible for employment in the U.S.

We offer full-time and part-time positions with day, evening, and night shifts. Wages start around $19.80/hour, with standard benefits and opportunities for growth within the hospitality and healthcare

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen (fast food, hotel operations, healthcare).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.
• Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, cooking, line cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, dietary cook, healthcare foodservice).

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality meals for patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
• Follow company recipes and guidelines to prepare all food items.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all cleaning, sanitation, and closing procedures.
