Wegmans is seeking a team member to support the restaurant foods section, educating customers about ingredients and products while helping to create high-quality meals. You will work with a team in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a positive customer experience.

You will cut, prepare, and serve a variety of items, package meals, and build strong customer relationships while following all food safety and merchandising procedures.

As a member of our restaurant foods team, you are at the heart of helping people make great meals easy. Food preparation experience; Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting; Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, grasping, repetitive and sustained hand and arm movements, bending, reaching, frequent lifting, and occasional heavy lifting, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 20 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate to moderately high and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is indoors with exposure to cold (33 – 55 degrees) temperatures and hot equipment (exceeds 135 degrees). Basic tools and equipment used include ovens, stove, common cooking and kitchen utensils and equipment.
