Personal Healthcare Management LLC is seeking a part-time to full-time Food Service/Dietary Assistant to provide restaurant-style dining for residents. The role requires preparing meals per dietary guidelines, maintaining sanitation, and coordinating with staff to ensure timely service.

Qualifications include High School/ GED and 1 year dietary experience preferred, along with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and communicate in English.

• Supervise waitstaff and utility staff as needed.

General Statement of Main Function:

The primary purpose is to provide our Residents with a high quality, restaurant style dining experience

Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position. However, it in no way states or implies that these are the only duties you will be required to perform. Prepare food in accordance with current applicable Federal and State guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by Food Service Director and or Supervisor to assure that quality food service is provided at all times. You are delegated the authority, responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

May include all or part of the following but not limited to:

• Review menu prior to preparation of food.


• Assist in planning regular and special diet menus in accordance with sanitary regulations


• Assist in establishing food service production to assure that meals are prepared on time


• Prepare meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance


• Prepare food in accordance with recipes and special diets


• Prepare substitute foods


• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures


• Coordinate dietary services with other departments as necessary


• Provide supervision and guidance to waitstaff and utility staff


• Provide excellent customer service by responding to questions or concerns from residents/families in a timely manner


• Assist in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc. as necessary


• Ensure that food and supplies for the next meal are readily available


• Make sure that all food items are properly stored, covered and dated in all refrigerators in the kitchen, remove out dated food items in accordance to the policies & procedures of the department.


• Ensure that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment are maintained


• Assist maintain food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times


• Report all hazardous conditions/equipment to the FSD or designee.


• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications & Requirements: High School/ GED

1 year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred but not required with experience in the following areas: Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must be knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures. Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., the appearance of dietary service area, and must perform regular inspections of dietary service for sanitation, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
