Job summary

Timberland Village Assisted Living, part of Bethany Life, is seeking a dedicated Cook to join a caring team in Story City, IA. The role requires preparing meals in alignment with federal, state, and local guidelines and our internal procedures, ensuring quality and resident satisfaction.

The position is full-time, 6:00am–2:00pm, with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Benefits include competitive wages, life insurance, disability, PTO, and discounted meals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of dietary/food service experience preferred in a hospital, long term care facility or other related medical facility.
• Ability to work 6:00am–2:00pm and alternate weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure residents receive high-quality meals.
• Support residents with nutritious meals and timely meal service.
