Job summary

New Communities in South Berwick, ME, is seeking a Cook to prepare healthy, delicious meals for residents in our assisted living community. You will follow standardized recipes, serve, stock, and clean up after meals, with a focus on safe food handling and meeting residents' therapeutic needs.

All experience levels are welcomed, with training available. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 12:30p-7:30p and Saturday and Sunday 6:30a-2:00p.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively with residents and coworkers whose primary language is English.
• 18 years of age or over.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy, delicious meals according to standardized recipes.

The Cook role: As a Cook at our assisted living/senior living home located in South Berwick, ME, you will support seniors to live life fully by preparing healthy, delicious meals. You will prep food, cook all menu items according to standardized recipes, serve, stock, and clean up after meals. You are responsible for safe food handling and preparing food to meet the therapeutic needs of the residents. An ideal candidate enjoys interacting with seniors and is happy working in a professional senior home environment.

The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 12:30p-7:30p and Saturday and Sunday 6:30a-2:00p. The pay rate ranges from $16.60 to $17.60 per hour depending on certifications and experience.
