Job summary

Santa Rosa Hills Senior Living in Santa Rosa, CA is opening a new Dining Services team and seeks a dedicated Cook who takes pride in preparing wholesome meals for residents.

This role requires 2 years in institutional kitchen, ability to scale recipes, and adherence to dietary orders. Starting pay is $20/hour; on-site at 3731 Airway Drive.

Qualifications

• 2 years of cooking experience in an institutional or full-service kitchen.
• Ability to scale recipes and convert measurements.
• Food Handler's card (or ability to obtain one) and ability to meet state health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following menus, recipes, and residents' physician diet orders, including texture-modified and thickened-liquid diets.
• Cook, bake, roast, broil, and steam a variety of dishes.
• Prep fruits and vegetables and measure ingredients accurately.
• Portion, plate, and garnish meals, and help with bistro service.
• Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and sanitary, including cleaning, stocking, and food rotation.
• Review menus and daily production records, and attend trainings and team meetings.
