Clarendale of St. Peters is recruiting a hospitality-focused Cook for the Community Culinary Services Department. The role involves full-scope, hands‑on production cooking and maintaining a superior level of quality, service and cleanliness at all times.
Responsibilities
- Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization.
- Adhere to food quality, appearance and presentation standards at all times.
- Produce and serve menu cycle programs that meet required nutritional/dietary criteria and correctly prepare diets per policy and procedure.
- Exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production.
- Assist with serving meals and ware washing as necessary.
- Visit residents periodically to evaluate food service quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance, and conduct evaluations to revise operations for improved service.
- Represent the community warmly and invitingly, creating a positive marketing environment.
- Support a culture where business decisions made in this position, along with employee engagement, drive top‑line revenue and occupancy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Culinary degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year restaurant, senior living or equivalent cooking experience.
Starting rate of $21.00 per hour.
Required to work every other weekend.
