New Horizon Foods in Saint Louis Park, MN is seeking a Cook to join our team. The role focuses on meal preparation, food safety, and resident service in a 7-day operation with daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and excellent customer service are required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods while cooking.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to follow supplied recipes and menus.
• Understanding of basic cooking techniques.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• One year of full-time, full-menu cook experience with references (fast food not eligible).

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation.
• Food preparation and proper storage.
• Maintain health code regulations in kitchen.
• Ensure that all food is presented in an attractive and appetizing manner.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen and dining areas.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
• Follow 4 week cycle menu.
• Follow recipes provided onsite.
• Take direction from FSD.
• Maintain a health inspection ready kitchen at all times.
• Take proper temperatures on Equipment & Food.

What Makes This Location Special- This location is a 7 day per week location with NO LATE NIGHTS hours are 930a-630p year round including weekends & Holidays. This is a 4 day per week position Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Fridays. Must be able to work alone.
