Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. operates senior living communities and is seeking a Cook to deliver high-quality meals and service to residents.

Responsibilities include reading recipes, preparing and serving meals, and assisting with stock rotation under the Food Service Director’s guidance. Qualified candidates have at least one year of cooking experience, some short order cooking, and Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain it upon hire.

About the Opportunity

Ensures efficient, timely, and friendly service to all residents and staff. Maintains proper sanitation and safety procedures and high quality food preparation and presentation. Orders, receives, and rotates stock in conjunction with the Food Service Director. Reads and follows recipes to ensure consistency of the product. Prepares and serves food items for breakfast, lunch or dinner as assigned. Assists with meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations. Is knowledgeable in food preparation techniques and presentation. Other relevant duties may be required or assigned by Supervisor.

• Willingness to learn new food preparation techniques and presentation.
• Knowledge of special dietary needs of residents and the required meal prep techniques.

• Follows all food safety and equipment safety procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
