Job summary

Aramark is hiring a Cook to join our team. You will prepare and cook a variety of dishes, follow standardized recipes, and ensure quality and safety standards are met in a fast-paced environment.

You will set up your station, manage ingredients, and assist with maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas while delivering excellent guest service daily.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation and food safety regulations such as sanitation and storage.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of foods according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams and uses various cooking methods.
• Arranges, garnishes and portions food per guidelines.
• Stores food properly following safety policies.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment.
• Maintains customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and coworkers.
• Follows Aramark safety policies and ensures asset security.

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $18.00 to $18.50. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets
