Job summary

Keke's Breakfast Cafe is seeking a friendly, motivated team member for our Plano-area kitchen. You will prepare a variety of items using grills, fryers and other equipment, follow portion sizes, and maintain quality throughout shift.

We offer competitive pay for this role, opportunities for growth, and a work-life balance with cafe hours typically from 7:00am–2:30pm. No prior restaurant experience required, and grooming standards are emphasized.

• Assists in food prep and closing of kitchen as needed.
• Performs routine kitchen cleaning and maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepares a variety of food items utilizing flat top grills, char-broiler, cook top, waffle baker, Panini press and fryer. Assumes responsibility for quality of products prepared and served. Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen policies and procedures. Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period. Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including all cooking equipment and refrigeration equipment. Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes. Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly. Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed. Opens and Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assist others in closing the kitchen. Assists in routine kitchen cleaning and maintenance. Performs other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.
