Job summary

Leisure Care LLC in Petaluma, CA is seeking a part-time Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced kitchen, preparing high-quality meals, and delivering great dining experiences to residents in our hospitality-driven senior living communities.

You will prepare and cook items per recipes, assist with prep, plating, and kitchen organization, while upholding food safety standards and resident preferences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a cook, line cook, or kitchen team member.
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, healthcare, or senior living preferred.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

We are currently hiring Cook to join our culinary team!

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, preparing high-quality meals, and being part of a team that takes pride in delivering great dining experiences.

At Leisure Care managed communities, our hospitality-driven senior living communities focus on creating meaningful daily experiences for residents, and our culinary team plays a key role in making that happen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards
• Assist with food prep, cooking, plating, and kitchen organization
• Maintain proper food safety and sanitation practices
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient meal service
• Follow dietary guidelines and resident food preferences when preparing meals
• Able to read and upscale recipes
• Ability to cook in large quantities
• Hours: Friday and Saturday: 10am to 7pm
• Position is 2 - 3 months
• Will be an on-call position afterward

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a cook, line cook, or kitchen team member
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, healthcare, or senior living preferred
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
