Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow menus and recipes while ensuring quality and safety standards.

In this role, you’ll contribute to resident satisfaction, collaborate with facility staff, and support inventory and service operations. The position requires a high school diploma and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; vaccination policy compliance may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook or food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain positive attitude and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and leadership.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policy.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• May need to complete sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required
