Job summary

Oak Plains Academy is seeking a part-time Cook for weekend shifts (Saturday, Sunday and Monday) from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, totaling 24 hours per week, in Ashland City, TN. The role involves assisting with meal preparation, ensuring food safety, and keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean.

You will collaborate with dietary staff to plan resident meals, manage inventory and fulfill dining service needs while adhering to health regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have valid Driver's License or valid photo ID.
• Must be 21 years old or over.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and guidelines.
• Strong time management to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines.
• Ensure food safety standards are met during handling and preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas.

Oak Plains Academy (UHS Company) is a comprehensive and highly structured 98-bed residential treatment program offering psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents, struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. Residents receive an individualized treatment plan, geared to meet their personal needs.
