Job summary

SALMON Health and Retirement’s Natick campus is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare meals for residents and guests and to help maintain a clean, safe kitchen. You’ll work with the Dining Services team to ensure quality dining experiences at Whitney Place Assisted Living and Memory Care in Natick.

Qualifications

• Two years of cooking experience preferred.
• General knowledge of special diets is helpful.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and communicate effectively.
• Dependability, flexibility, and a commitment to providing excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with high-quality meals for residents and guests.
• Complete food preparation for upcoming meals as assigned.
• Assist with special functions and catered events.
• Follow opening and closing procedures and checklists.
• Properly store food and supplies.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and work area.
• Communicate food and inventory needs to Dining Services leadership.
• Follow established food safety, sanitation, and infection control practices.
• Work collaboratively with members of the Dining Services team.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
