Zaxby's is hiring a Cook to be the energetic backstage helper who prepares and serves hot, fresh food with speed and accuracy. You will work with a team to follow recipes, manage station duties, and ensure order quality for guests in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates are reliable, punctual and able to stand for long periods. Zaxby's provides meal discounts and employee recognition, with flexible hours to fit a part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.

• Maintain equipment and inform management of maintenance needs.
• Work efficiently during high-volume rushes without sacrificing quality.
• Assist in other kitchen tasks, including washing dishes and taking out trash.

Capabilities Requirement:

• Stand and walk for long periods of time
• Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch or climb, including the use of ladders
• Frequently lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds, sometime lifting overhead
• Ensure that daily cash drawers, safe and credit cards are balanced.
• Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation
• Communicate proficiently through speech, reading and writing
• Maintain effective audio-visual perception and judgement to observe and respond to the current environment
• Work in an environment that features hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergens
• Safely operate restaurant equipment
