Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in United States (McLean, VA area) is seeking a Cook to prepare meals that meet nutrition standards and Sunrise quality. You will follow standardized recipes, monitor temperatures, and support dining service while ensuring safety and compliance in a busy kitchen.

The role covers lead production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator, with opportunities for growth and participation in a supportive team focused on resident wellbeing and enjoyment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or elder care settings.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and menus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Sunrise standards
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator

Pay Range:

17.30 - 21.70
