Overview

The Bungalows At Mayfield is seeking a part‑time Cook to join their team. The Cook reports directly to the Food and Beverage Director.

Shift Details

Mon‑Fri; every other weekend required 6:00 am‑2:00 pm and 10:30 am‑6:30 pm.

Purpose

The Cook is responsible for all food preparation so that food meets or exceeds quality, quantity and service schedule requirements and hospitality service standards for the community. The Cook also effectively manages all food production in the absence of the Lead Cook or Food and Beverage Director, handling all foods in accordance with sanitary procedures and complying with all federal, state, and local regulatory procedures regarding food production.

Responsibilities

Preparation and Food Service

• Prepare and serve meals according to posted menus and approved Phoenix standardized recipes.
• Adhere to production sheets, instructions and special dietary needs (including texture‑modified food).
• Organize work to meet production and service requirements.
• Monitor food items to maintain minimum guidelines for temperature, taste and quality.
• Taste and adjust food as necessary.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and clean work areas.
• Operate dish machine(s) and dishwashing equipment in accordance with Food Safety Standards.
• Follow local, state and federal food handling policies.

Record Keeping / Resident Services

• Maintain accurate records of equipment, refrigerator, freezer, cooking, holding and cooling temperatures.
• Record food production quantities and taste evaluation sheets.
• Rotate menus and production sheets.
• Protect confidentiality of resident information and review resident diet documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
• One (1) year of related experience in food preparation, full‑line menu items and therapeutic diets.
• Current SERVSafe certificate or ability to obtain one through training.

Compensation

$12.00–$14.00 per hour.
