Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities in Lima, OH is hiring a Cook to provide residents and guests with a pleasant dining experience through the efficient and sanitary preparation and service of high quality, nutritious meals.

The role requires kitchen experience, ServSafe sanitation certification (or within 30 days), flexibility with shifts, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions while working as a team to support dining operations including days, evenings, or rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience required.
• Sanitation certification (ServSafe) or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Follows written recipes and prepares high quality, nutritious menu options.
• Assists in developing menus and special meals, following a daily prep list.
• Helps the Dining Director/Executive Chef with inventory and ordering.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working environment, including cleaning equipment and dishes.
• Assists with various cooking methods including baking, frying, cold salad prep, sauteing, and short order cooking.

• Assists with various cooking methods including but not limited to; baking, frying, cold salad prep, sauteing, and general short order cooking.

What we're looking for:
