Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow menus, ensure food quality and presentation, and work in a sanitary kitchen.

With a high school diploma and preferably prior cooking or food prep experience, you will adhere to dietary restrictions, participate in inventory, and provide friendly service to residents and staff. Residency within the service area is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in cookery or food prep preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain positive attitude and communicate with building occupants and leadership.
• Residency within the service area; COVID-19 vaccination policies may apply.

• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Compliance with COVID-20 vaccination policies
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required
