Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. seeks a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will help maintain quality, taste, and presentation while following safety guidelines and dietary restrictions.

Join a team dedicated to resident satisfaction and community impact. Pay is USD 18.00–21.00 per hour with benefits and opportunities for growth within HCSG.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Previous cook/food preparation experience is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with occupants, staff, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods.
• May need to complete sanitation/safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required
